Need an e detective...

How to find a long lost friend?

Help! Help!

If my plea reaches anyone in cyberspace….Help me!.

I tried almost everything. I googled (of late, I google even to find a spoon lost in my kitchen) and answered questions and filled forms. Result-I was loaded with suggestions and advices. Peoplesearch and zabasearch can locate people lost in USA but the friend in need is in India….so what do I do? I tried random emails with all possible ID combinations. Indeed got a few interesting replies. Whoa!…thanx.

When I heard about ‘Six degrees of Separation’, I was not convinced. Is it possible? How can the entire man kind be 6 steps away? Let me put that to test.

It is a small world indeed. I'm encouraged by my previous attempt. It took just 2 links to reach someone precious after many years and many miles away.

Kerala Blog Roll was my first link. The exact name was listed in KBR and I mailed with a volley of questions.

It was tad insane, but pat came the reply. “I am not the person you are looking for but I can give you information, our mails used to get switched." There was even a link to view the photo and identify. “Presto! It worked.

Dear S,

If you happen to pass by, a very sincere “Thank you”.  I’m connected.

Now, let me unfurl my real motive.

I have another friend to locate. When we met first, he was working in All India Radio, Coimbatore. And during our last meeting he was in New Delhi working as an interepreter in the Parliament.(I think the Lok Sabha… hope that helps…)With this kind of information even Pierce Brosnan might raise an eye brow. But I remain hopeful. Any clue will be rewarded in cash and kind (have a spare bag of silky sortex rice).

If this fails, possibly the next step is technopathy…
